As your mother will tell you, our dog is not all that obedient, which is why he would be on a leash even if there weren't one. We do hope we get a dog park soon.Auntie Knickershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08854138665883068803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-674401163557325178.post-50879382532377750752011-04-25T07:24:11.037-07:002011-04-25T07:24:11.037-07:00Wednesday is micro brew mug night and I love me so...Wednesday is micro brew mug night and I love me some 1554...or Thursday is LAST DAY OF CLASS and also a mug night! We were really lucky in Lawrence to find a place that was open to LGBT people and also a supportive, vibrant community but we haven’t quite found the right place here.

I agree with you that this sort of fellowship and mutual respect should be created in diverse spaces of social interaction. However, I find that it can be difficult to find places that promote sustained, growing relationships with other people in addition to the more fleeting encounters in airports, stores, etc.. Now, I would say that only my school and my regular gym class are conducive to creating such a space and school events rarely include Allison in any meaningful way. Institutionalized religion does not have to be the only game in town for this type of experience, but I don’t know that there are a lot of others that can boast the same opportunities for fellowship and support. What do you think is the best tactic to making individual instances (say, the forum) into prolonged or reoccurring events so that even deeper bonds can be formed?
MaureenAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06030838086797166616noreply@blogger.com
